Since 1995 Adrienne N. Newsom, Esq. has served as legal counsel for 501c3 charitable and religious organizations, including terms as a director and corporate secretary.
Adrienne has extensive experience advising nonprofit and church leaders on employment, risk management and governance issues; drafting personnel policies, employee handbooks and ministry resources; and developing and delivering training, workshops and educational seminars.
For seven years, Adrienne practiced insurance defense litigation, representing drivers and owners in civil cases arising from premises liability and motor vehicle accidents (some cases involved wrongful death claims, DUI claims and related criminal charges.)
Adrienne graduated from UCLA School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1993. Adrienne completed her undergraduate studies at Tufts University (B.A. with Academic Honors, 1990.) Adrienne is a member of the American Bar Association (Taxation Section; Exempt Organizations and Religious Organizations Subcommittees); Langston Bar Association; Los Angeles County Bar Association; Society for Human Resource Management; and California Association of Nonprofits.
